Melanie Miller has been involved in dog training since 1996, training specifically in agility since 1998. Her background includes a degree in Chemical Engineering, and she currently works as a Project Manager at SAS. She has 4 dogs: Cole, a Cocker Spaniel; Austin, a Vizsla, Regan, a Border Collie, and Smitten, a Border Collie. During his brief career, Cole easily earned 12 titles with numerous placements, and was known for his ever wagging tail, his unabashed enthusiasm, and his brilliant speed.

Austin has taught Melanie many lessons in patience, motivation, and drive, and has blossomed into a quick, accurate, and driven partner. It took 4 years to convince Austin that agility was a fun game to play, but he is now the highest titled Vizsla of all time in USDAA, and is closing in on MACH3 in AKC. He is a seasoned attendee of AKC Nationals, the AKC Invitational, and USDAA Nationals, and has made finals in both AKC Nationals and USDAA DAM Team. He owns the Vizsla breed record for the Cleanrun 60 Weave Pole Challenge with a respectable time of 16.39 sec. In 2006, Austin won the 24" Standard and JWW classes at the Vizsla Club of America National Breed Specialty.

Regan had her own lessons to teach Melanie. Regan has made tremendous progress, and each year just gets better and better! She has earned her ADCH-Silver, LAA-Bronze, and MACH2. Regan has also attended several national events, and each showing is better than the last! We do believe Regan was a supermodel in a former life, and she currently graces the cover of a 2010 Border Collie calendar! Regan continues to have a bright future ahead of her, and we look forward to reaching new milestones together.

Our newest addition is Smitten, perhaps one of the world’s tiniest border collies. Smitty joined us at 9 months old, and literally hit the ground running. In a remarkably short period of time, she has already been on 2 European Open Teams, made Steeplechase Finals at USDAA Nationals, attended her 1st AKC Nationals event, and attended her 1st World Team tryouts. Smitty frequently turns in the fastest time of all jump heights, and it’s up to Melanie to show her where to go in time! The best is certainly yet to come for this remarkable little dog.

Melanie has spent 1000's of hours learning from the best in dog training and dog agility. She has traveled up and down the East Coast, learning the very latest in handling, dog training, and jumping techniques. She has the unique ability to absorb information and pass it along to her students in a friendly, motivational way.

Melanie is available for private lessons, group classes, workshops and seminars on a variety of topics.
